When you have made the decision to go ahead with the purchase of a new Western saddle you need to have confidence in both the way the saddle is constructed and what it is constructed from. All the saddles from our workshop are built to each customers requirements and I personally along with the customer go to great lengths to design a saddle that is exactly what he or she is desiring.
As these saddles are built to such a high degree of standard, they have a life expectancy far exceeding that of the purchaser, so we want the product to be both pleasing to the eye and also very comfortable, giving our customers a saddle that he or she will enjoy for many years of riding pleasure.
The saddle trees that we use have time proven design and structural strength to assure a close comfort fit to both your horses and yourself.
FLEXIGLASS TREE. This tree is available in all designs for all western disciplines and full seat sizing are available to suit all riders.
Made to order by a master tree maker. This tree is formed to such a high degree of strength that it is almost indestructible. Comfort to both the horse and rider has now made this tree our most popular, allowing us to build a saddle of equal quality to the best available and still keeping our pricing within reach of all.
RAWHIDE covered wooden tree is the traditional tree that has been used for well over one hundred years in the making of the western saddle. Our Rawhide trees are hand made by a master tree maker and are formed to exacting standards in terms of design and strength.
The rawhide tree has an open channel and must have a Ground seat built in before any of the main saddle construction can take place. I use the All Leather ground seat in all of our Rawhide saddles. This in my opinion and also that of the leading trainers and top end performance competitors, rate this as the very best. Although a lengthy process to build and for that very reason, one that is not employed by many saddle makers. It does produce a seat of extreme feel and communication and is far superior to the other methods of ground seat construction. Being either plastic or metal. Materials I would never consider.
Hermann Oak skirting is renown as the best western saddle leather available today and their tanning methods have produced leather that will soften for comfort and stay durable allowing a lifetime of service. All hardware fitted to our saddles is stainless steel.
The Stamping and tooling is all done by hand and is deep and exact to each customers design requirements.
